Citizens & Leaders

It is important to have active citizens who participate in their societies in between elections, who solve problems their communities face, who are informed and skilled, democracy cannot become healthy nor developmental. This applies to both citizens and citizen representatives or politicians.

If political leaders do not espouse democratic principals and ethics and who don’t have the required skills-set or theoretical framework and who only think in terms of power and safeguarding narrow interests democracy cannot grow.

Democracy Works Foundation, therefore, offers several innovative training packages that are targeted at the following beneficiaries:

  • political leaders, whether established or youthful
  • citizen and community leaders
  • civil society activists and change-makers

In time Democracy Works shall make training materials available online in such a way that citizens can educate and train themselves.
